MMDA: Parts of EDSA, Balete Drive due for reblocking or repair this weekend

Metro Manila motorists may want to avoid certain portions of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Balete Drive in Quezon City this weekend, as these will be undergoing reblocking and repair.
 

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the road repair projects will start at 10 p.m. on Friday and last until 5 a.m. on Monday.

It said the affected areas are:
 

• along EDSA between Roosevelt Avenue and East Lawin (fourth lane, southbound)
• along Balete Drive between Aurora Blvd. and Campanilla (first lane)
• along EDSA between Guadalupe Bridge and Ayala Avenue (first lane, southbound)
• along EDSA between Reliance and Ortigas Avenue (first lane of Shaw Blvd. tunnel, northbound)
• along EDSA between Santolan and Ortigas Avenue (fifth lane from Santolan approaching Ortigas flyover and on first lane of service road of Ortigas flyover, southbound)
• along EDSA between New York St. and Monte de Piedad (first lane, southbound)
