100 families lose homes, firefighter hurt in Brgy Valencia-QC fire

More than 100 families spent the night in the streets after a fire razed their houses in Barangay Valencia, Quezon City a little before midnight Saturday, radio dzBB reported. While no casualties from the residents have been reported, a firefighter from the Armed Forces of the Philippines dislocated an arm while fighting the blaze. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, meanwhile, noted that the houses gutted in the blaze were made of light materials.
