1 dead in 2-truck collision in QC

A truck driver was killed after his vehicle crashed into another truck along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday.

 

The driver, initially identified as Wilfredo Reyes of Laguna, was pinned inside the cab, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported on GMA News' "Unang Balita."

 

Reyes was declared dead on arrival at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center.

 

Citing initial findings by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the dzBB report said the truck driven by Reyes was crossing the northbound part of Katipunan Avenue in Barangay Blue Ridge when it went out of control and hit a 10-wheeler truck it was trailing.

 

A photo posted by dzBB's Gatus on Twitter showed the impact heavily damaged the truck (RKK-217) Reyes was driving.
