Fire hits restaurant in Cubao mall

A fire of undetermined origin hit a restaurant at a busy commercial complex in Quezon City Tuesday evening.

 

No one was initially reported injured in the fire at Gerry's Grill at the Ali Mall in Cubao, radio dzBB's Rowena Salvacion reported.

 

The fire started at about 7 p.m. and reached the third alarm.

Firefighters had to climb to the rooftop to battle the blaze.

Meanwhile, Araneta Center security kept media at a distance, while customers at Ali Mall were quickly evacuated.

 

The report quoted Quezon City fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez as saying their initial finding showed the fire started at the ceiling of the restaurant.
