CebuPac flights canceled due to bad weather in Taiwan
At least two flights between Manila and Taiwan were canceled Tuesday due to bad weather in Taipei, the Department of Transportation and Communications said.
The DOTC said both flights belonged to budget carrier Cebu Pacific. They included:
5J-310: Manila to Taipei
5J-311: Taipei to Manila
Taiwan's Central News Agency reported the Central Weather Bureau had warned of extremely heavy to extremely torrential rain over the next two days.
It said the CWB forecast local torrential rain or extremely torrential rain for mountain areas in Yilan, Hualien, Taitung and counties north of Taichung from Tuesday to Wednesday
Also, the CWB warned residents in mountainous areas of possible landslides, mudslides and flash floods.
Parts of Luzon had been affected by Typhoon Henry (Matmo), which is making its way to Taiwan. Henry is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
