6 women rescued from suspected prostitution den in Caloocan
(Updated 9:12 a.m.) At least six women, some of them minors, were rescued from a hotel believed used as a front by a prostitution ring in Caloocan City before dawn Friday.
The National Bureau of Investigation raided the hotel believed to be a prostitution front around midnight Thursday, radio dzBB's James Agustin reported.
Citing initial findings of the NBI team, the report said two of the six rescued women were minors.
The minors may be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
A separate report by GMA News' John Consulta on "Unang Balita" said the NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division's investigation showed the ring would have customers pick girls at the lobby.
An investigation also showed the customers would pay P750 an hour.
At least nine people were arrested in the raid, four of them suspected to be acting as pimps. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
