#Walangpasok: Miriam College suspends July 28, 29 classes due to SONA, Eidl Fitr

A private school is suspending work and classes on July 28 and 29 (Monday and Tuesday) due to President Benigno Aquino III's State of the Nation Address and Eidl Fitr.

Miriam College, in posts on its social media accounts, cited the two dates in suspending both work and classes on the two days.

"In anticipation of heavy traffic in the area of Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City due to the State of the Nation Address of President Benigno S. Aquino III on July 28, 2014 (Monday), work and classes at all levels will be suspended on the said date," it said.

For Tuesday, it cited Malacañang's Proclamation 826 declaring July 29, Tuesday, a regular holiday in observance of Eidl Fitr, the end of Ramadan.

"Work and classes will be suspended on this date as well," it said.
