Heavy traffic on NLEX as Iglesia centennial celebration ends  — MMDA

Motorists may expect traffic at the North Luzon Expressway to be heavy again as the Iglesia Ni Cristo's centennial celebration ended before noon Sunday.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the heavy traffic may be in both directions of NLEX.

"The INC Centennial Celebration at Ciudad de Victoria has ended. Expect heavy traffic in NLEX on both directions," it said.

For its part, the Toll Regulatory Board said traffic was heavy at the northbound part of NLEX between Bocaue and Marilao.

Counterflow was allowed at the southbound part to ease traffic, it added.

Meanwhile, a report on dwIZ radio said some Iglesia members started going home but many picked up litter to keep the area clean.  — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
