Firefighter hurt, P5M in property destroyed in Manila fire

A firefighter was hurt and some P5 million in property was destroyed in a four-hour fire that hit a three-story commercial building in Malate, Manila Sunday night.

The fire at the corner of Adriatico and Malvar Streets started at 7:05 p.m. and reached the fourth alarm, radio dzBB's James Agustin reported early Monday.

The fire was put out at 11:16 p.m.

Manila fire marshal Superintendent Jaime Ramirez said the fire started at the second floor of the building, which housed several establishments including a cafe, a KTV bar and a restaurant. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
