Greenhills-carpark crash driver in hot water for his heart condition – PNP
The driver of the car which plummeted from the third floor of a shopping mall in Greenhills, San Juan City on Friday may have had a heart bypass operation, and police say it was a condition that prohibited him from getting behind the wheel.
According to a Saturday report on GMA's “24-Oras”, authorities said that driver Juanito Nocos had a cardiac pacemaker which is usually found in heart bypass patients.

C/Insp. Melchor Rosales from the San Juan City police said that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) does not permit people who have had a bypass operation to drive.
“Nakasaad din naman yan sa rules and regulations ng LTO na pag tayo ay na bypass na, di na po tayo puwedeng magmaneho sapagkat delikado sa buhay ng ibang tao,” Rosales said.
According to a police report, Nocos had fainted, causing the crash. If proven that he had a bypass, Nocos will face additional charges.
