Broken pipe causes flooding on major Pasig road
(Updated 9:09 a.m.) Motorists and commuters in Pasig City were inconvenienced after a part of a road there became a waterworld before dawn Tuesday.
But the floods are due not to heavy rain but to a broken water pipe, radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported.
As of 5:41 a.m., the floods were half-tire deep, and causing traffic along Ortigas Extension and Alfonson Street in Barangay Rosario.

The report said no crews had been dispatched to the area to fix the pipe as of that time.
On the other hand, the problem also threatened to inconvenience some 4,000 residents in the area as the pipe was closed for repairs.
Manila Water spokesman Jeric Sevilla told dzBB the water line at Ortigas Avenue Extension was being closed before 9 a.m.
Sevilla said the closure will mean Barangays Sto. Domingo and Rosario in Pasig will have no water supply while the repairs are ongoing.
Initial investigation showed the leak stemmed from a two-meter crack in the pipe. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
