Makati suspends number coding for Oct. 31, bares Undas rerouting plan
Makati City will also suspend the number coding scheme on Oct. 31, in time for this year's observance of Undas (All saints' and All Souls' Days).
The Makati City government also announced on Wednesday its traffic rerouting plans and parking sites for Undas.
Earlier this week, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said it will suspend the number coding scheme for Friday.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said this is in consideration of motorists and commuters taking trips to the provinces to pay respects to their dearly departed.
But Tolentino said at the time they are not sure as of now if Makati and Las Piñas Cities will follow the lifting of the number coding scheme on Friday.
Filipinos are expected to flock to the provinces for the yearly Undas (All Saints' and All Souls' Days), with the exodus expected to peak on Friday.
Under the number coding scheme, vehicles are banned from passing through major roads, depending on the last digits on their license plates.
Covered by the number coding are vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 on Mondays; 3 and 4 on Tuesdays; 5 and 6 on Wednesdays; 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays.
Rerouting plan
Meanwhile, Makati City public safety chief Hermenegildo San Miguel said towing operations will also be suspended on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking areas will be designated for cars and motorcycles for those visiting their departed loved ones in cemeteries located in the city.
Makati's three cemeteries include the Manila South Cemetery, Municipal Cemetery, and Makati Catholic Cemetery, which is already closed.
Security plans
Police will set up checkpoints and patrols around the cemeteries to maintain security.
There will also be foot and bike patrol details, and an assistance booth for missing children.
Environmental services chief Danilo Villas assured regular garbage collection, with environmental police teams will be deployed to enforce anti-littering rules.
Street sweepers will work even after 5 p.m., while an orientation will be held for vendors and food stall operators regarding the plastic ban in Makati City.
