Fire hits Valenzuela City warehouse

A fire of undetermined origin destroyed a warehouse at Pear Island in Barangay Punturin in Valenzuela City early Friday.

Firefighters had a hard time battling the blaze, which reached Task Force Alpha as of 7 a.m., radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.

Thick smoke continued to come out of the warehouse while nearby residents tried to save their belongings, photos tweeted by dzBB's Gatus showed.

Before 7 a.m., smoke from the fire could be seen from the North Luzon Expressway.
