Two killed, three hurt in Quezon City fire

(Updated 3:20 p.m.) Two people were confirmed killed while three others were injured in a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City Tuesday.

 

City fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez confirmed the fatalities from the incident, radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported.

 

Earlier, the report said the fire occurred in Barangay Valencia in Quezon City.

 

The same report said three people were hurt, including a firefighter who sustained a shoulder injury.

 

Citing initial information, the report said the fire reached the fourth alarm and razed 25 houses, rendering some 50 families homeless. — Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
