JV Ejercito says staff shot by robbers 'out of danger'

A staff of a senator who was shot by motorcycle-riding robbers Wednesday night is now out of danger.

 

Sen. Jose Victor "JV" Ejercito said this on his Twitter account shortly before midnight Wednesday.

 

"My female staff out of danger but needs surgery in her leg. Need to be vigilant peeps as criminals strike even during rush hour!" he said.

 

Earlier Wednesday evening, he posted on Twitter that his female staff was shot in the leg by "riding in tandem holdupers" who chanced upon them in a cab.

 

In a text message to GMA News Online, he identified the staff member as Kathleen Tan, and that the incident occurred at a portion of Quirino Avenue in Manila.  — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
