Vehicle number coding resumes in NCR

After a long holiday lull, the vehicle number coding scheme is back in effect in Metro Manila.

 

The Official Gazette issued this reminder to motorists in a post on its Twitter account early Monday.

 

"Number coding resumes in Metro Manila," it said.

 

Under the number coding scheme, vehicles are barred from Metro Manila's major thoroughfares from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., based on the last digits of their license plates.

 

For Mondays, this means those with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2; 3 and 4 on Tuesdays; 5 and 6 on Wednesdays; 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
