LOOK: Hologram picture souvenir of Pope Francis sells for P140
(Updated 4 p.m.) Souvenirs of Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines have taken a high-tech twist, with at least one vendor selling holographic photos of the pope a few hours before his arrival in the Philippines.
Achie Elizan enjoyed brisk sales of the item when he went to Manila, where many Filipinos camped out near the Apostolic Nunciature to wait for the Pope, radio dzBB's Tuesday Niu reported.
Elizan said the photos cost about P140 each. The report also quoted him as saying the photos appear to be a hit, as he managed to sell 25 of his 50 photos before noon.
Meanwhile, the more traditional souvenirs such as T-shirts with images of the Pope sold for P150 each along Quirino Avenue.
Roxas assured the public that security measures are all in place to ensure peace and order during Pope Francis' five-day visit to Manila and Leyte.

In Tacloban City, which the pope is to visit on Saturday, more souvenir items also sprouted, including T-shirts with the Pope's image and the logo of his Philippine visit, with the word "TACLOBAN," radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported.
Proceeds from the sale of the Tacloban shirts will go to the Santo Niño Church in Tacloban.
Pope Francis is due to arrive at 5:45 p.m. in the Philippines. He will take part in events in Metro Manila and Leyte during his five-day visit.

The photos, which the dzBB report said came from a parish in Novaliches in Quezon City, show a waving Pope Francis.Meanwhile, the more traditional souvenirs such as T-shirts with images of the Pope sold for P150 each along Quirino Avenue.
