LOOK: Marikina, Manila fires under control


A Tuesday morning fire in Barangay San Roque, Marikina City was put out at 3:54 a.m., the TXTFIRE service reported on Twitter.

SFO3 Noel Alarcon of the Marikina Fire Department told radio dzBB's James Agustin that the fire on J.P. Rizal Street started at 2:51 a.m. at an apartment and spread to nearby houses.



No one was in injured in the fire.

Meanwhile, the fire at the Parola Compound in Manila's Tondo district was placed under control at 1:41 a.m., dzBB's Manny Vargas reported.



The fire had started past 6 p.m. Monday, and reach the general alarm.

The blaze had nearly spread to the Philippine Coast Guard's Marine Environmental Protection Command headquarters. — Joel Locsin/DVM/KG, GMA News
