LOOK: Vice Mayor Isko Moreno tries to help fight Parola, Tondo fire

Less than 24 hours after a fire broke out at the Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila, another fire broke out in the area shortly after noon Tuesday.

 

This time, the fire hit a residential area at Pier 2 in Parola, GMA News' JP Soriano reported.

 

A video posted by GMA News' Soriano showed firefighters facing orange flames and thick smoke at the site.

The fire reached Task Force Bravo as of 1:30 p.m., radio dzBB's Cecilia Villarosa reported.

Meanwhile, traffic was heavy at R-10, the Navotas City government said.

 

The Navotas City government advised motorists heading for Manila to avoid R-10 due to the heavy traffic there.

On Monday evening, a fire hit the Parola Compound, reaching the general alarm and displacing more than 1,000 families. It took 12 hours to put out the fire. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
