LOOK: Vice Mayor Isko Moreno tries to help fight Parola, Tondo fire


Less than 24 hours after a fire broke out at the Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila, another fire broke out in the area shortly after noon Tuesday.
 
This time, the fire hit a residential area at Pier 2 in Parola, GMA News' JP Soriano reported.
 
A video posted by GMA News' Soriano showed firefighters facing orange flames and thick smoke at the site.

 
Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso a.k.a. Isko Moreno tried to help put out the fire, as shown in a photo by GMA News' Jay Sabale.

 
Several residents tried to save their belongings.

 
The fire reached Task Force Bravo as of 1:30 p.m., radio dzBB's Cecilia Villarosa reported.

 
Meanwhile, traffic was heavy at R-10, the Navotas City government said.
 
The Navotas City government advised motorists heading for Manila to avoid R-10 due to the heavy traffic there.
