LOOK: 2 residents killed, 2 injured in Novaliches fire


Some two residents were killed and two others were injured in a Tuesday morning fire in Barangay Gulod in Novaliches, Quezon City, radio dzBB's James Agustin reported.





The fire started at 12:30 a.m., reached the third alarm, and was put out at 1:30 a.m.

Some 12 homes were razed, with property damage estimated at P200,000.

Resident Ronald Cabrera injured his leg after he jumped off the second floor of his home to escape the blaze.



The other injured resident, who had a burned arm and was taken to hospital, was not identified

QC district fire marshall Supt. Jesus Fernandez said a neglected lit cigarette in one of the residences had started the fire.

Meanwhile, there was a second fire in Quezon City early Tuesday morning as a two-story home at the corner of Dama De Noche St. and Ilang Ilang St. in Barangay Payatas caught fire a little past midnight.

The fire reached the first alarm and was put out at 12:45 a.m., dzBB's Agustin reported.

No one was injured in the second fire, with property damage estimated at P20,000. — DVM, GMA News
