Walang Pasok: Two-day school holiday in San Juan for Wattah Wattah Festival

Schools in the City of San Juan in Metro Manila will have a two-day break for this year's Wattah Wattah Festival.

 

An executive order signed by Mayor Guia Gomez on Friday called on school administrators to suspend classes in all levels on June 23 and 24, Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

This is "to allow the faculty members and students" to participate in the festivities, the order said.

 

San Juan celebrates the feast of Saint John the Baptist every June 24.

 

The celebration, now dubbed "Wattah Wattah Festival," has become "a tourism activity." —Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/KG, GMA News
