Militants burn PNoy effigy hours before his last SONA

Five hours before President Benigno Aquino III could deliver his final State of the Nation Address at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City on Monday, members of militant groups burned a giant effigy of the President on Commonwelath Avenue.

The protesters burned an effigy symbolizing their discontent for Aquino in front of Ever Gotesco.

Meanwhile, some of the protesters have prepared various effigies symbolizing the problems Aquino has failed to address.

One effigy shows Aquino atop a broken Metro Rail Transit (MRT) coach and a trash bin beside him. Most of the effigies will be burned as Aquino delivers his last SONA at 3 p.m. — LBG, GMA News
