The local Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire has not spread to the nearby cemetery and residential area, Apolinario added. BFP personnel were on the lookout as flames and thick smoke engulfed the warehouse.
A series of explosions was heard around noon, forcing nearby residents to evacuate their houses.
Firemen have also sprayed aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) to contain the fire due to oil leaks.
In a tweet update, dzBB's Gatus said the fire was declared under control by 2:31 p.m.

— GMA News (@gmanews) September 25, 2015 Apolinario quoted authorities as saying they have yet to determine which part of the warehouse the fire started. They will also verify if the establishment had a sprinkler system and an alarm system.
The BFP investigator said that aside from an undetermined number of drums that contained used oil and other chemicals, the owner dumped tonnes of recyclable waste such as paper, plastic and other office materials inside the warehouse.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined according to the BFP.
