Ryan Jaworski posts P600k bail at Makati court

(Updated 3:33 p.m.) The camp of Ryan Jaworski, son of former senator and Philippine basketball icon Robert Jaworski, has posted bail at the Makati Regional Trial Court, a report on News TV Live said on Friday.

According to Atty. Richard Nethercott, they posted P600,000 bail for four counts of attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms.

Nethercott clarified, however, that it was only him who posted bail at the Makati court since his client was still recuperating in the hospital.

Jaworski and companion Joselito Au were arrested by police after they allegedly engaged operatives in an encounter in Makati City last September 19.

Their other companion identified as Ferdinand Parago escaped.

An earlier report said that Jaworski's group fired at police intelligence operatives who were tailing them following a botched sting operation.

This triggered a shootout where Jaworski was wounded on his right leg. Jaworski is suspected of being involved in illegal drugs and gunrunning activities. —Andrei Medina/KG, GMA News
