Cherry Pie cries as mom’s accused killer is convicted

Actress Cherry Pie Picache cried as she welcomed the Quezon City Regional Trial Court's decision finding the man accused of killing her mother guilty.

"I'm sure she's very happy now," Picache said on GMA News' "24 Oras."

"You know, we're complete. Kahit yung great grandchildren niya are here, you know, to see that justice was served. Ipinangako namin sa kanya yun na this time, kami yung lalaban for her," she added.

Michael Flores was found guilty of robbery with homicide, and was sentenced to no less than 40 years in prison.

Picache's mother, Zenaida Sison, 75, was found stabbed to death inside her house in Quezon City on September 19, 2014.

Flores pleaded guilty in October. —NB, GMA News
