Valenzuela residents displaced as Nona floods barangay

Residents of a barangay in Valenzuela fled after their homes were hit by chest-deep floods following heavy rains in Metro Manila on Tuesday night.

A News To Go report said firemen and rescue team from the local government of Valenzuela rushed to Barangay Marulas to rescue its residents, whose homes were submerged in floodwaters.

As of Wednesday morning, the affected residents were still staying at the Valenzuela High School.

The report said that overflor water from the Tullahan River flooded the barangay.

Floodwaters from Quezon City also flowed to Valenzuela and contributed to the flooding in the village.
