QC barangay councilman kills quarrelling father and son on New Year's Eve

Police have launched a manhunt operation against a barangay councilman in Quezon City for his involvement in the killing of two persons during the New Year's Eve revelry.

A report on GMA News TV's QRT identified the suspect as Anacleto de Torres, councilman in Barangay Santol.

The report added that De Torres was the acting barangay chairman during the time of the shooting.

The victims were identified as Rodney Deanon and his son, Raymondo.

The report said that the two victims were having a drinking spree while celebrating the New Year's Eve when they figured in a heated argument.

While barangay officials were pacifying the Deanons, De Torres allegedly came out with a gun and fired at the victims.

The older Deanon died from a gunshot wound in the chest while Ramundo succumbed to multiple bullet wounds in the body. —ALG, GMA News
