Thousands line up at Quirino Grandstand for Black Nazarene ‘Pahalik’

Thousands of Black Nazarene devotees turned up at the Quirino Grandstand on Friday for the Pahalik, a tradition held prior to the Traslacion.

People lined up along Roxas Boulevard for a chance to kiss the statue of the Black Nazarene, beating the heat with fans and umbrellas. Many of them have been waiting for a turn as early as Thursday afternoon.

The queue rounded Rizal Park, prompting the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority to put up more barriers to put order.
