Papadom's widow killed few minutes after leaving Makati office — police

Teng Santaromana Gamboa, the widow of late reggae musician Dominic "Papadom" Gamboa, was believed to have been waylaid and killed a few minutes after she left her office in Makati City early morning of Wednesday, investigators said Friday.

Gamboa's body was found in a dump near Kalayaan Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday with a gunshot wound in the head, a certain PO3 Villarin who said he was among those handling the investigation told GMA News Online.

Villarin said they're still awaiting the results of the autopsy conducted on the victim's body. He said they want to determine if she had other wounds.

Gamboa was last seen leaving her office in Legaspi Village at the Makati Central Business Office on Wednesday at 2:20 am.

Her late husband's band, Tropical Depression, had put out a notice on Facebook the following day, announcing that Gamboa had been missing for more than 24 hours.

According to the post, Gamboa had failed to answer phone calls from her family and friends.
