25 families affected by Taguig City fire


Fifteen houses were razed when a fire hit Block 1, Lot 23 Old Housing Barangay Maharlika in Taguig City on Monday evening, James Agustin reported for Super Radyo dyBB.

 

 

The fire, which reached the second alarm, was put out after one hour.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Taguig operations chief Senior Insp. Liher Barrios said 25 families were affected.

He added that the fire spread quickly because the houses were mostly made of light materials.

The estimate cost to the damage to property was P250,000. The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire.

As of posting, the affected families were evacuated to the barangay multi-purpose hall. — BAP, GMA News
