Ana Capri claims getting touched, slapped in Taguig club

Actress Ana Capri on Thursday went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to file a complaint against a man who she said touched her at a club in Taguig City.

A report by John Consulta on GMA-7’s “24 Oras” said that Capri and her friends were at the Palace Pool Club around 3 a.m. when the incident happened.

She said she was charging her phone when  a man, who was around 50 years old and about 5’7’’ in height, touched her.

When she confronted him, the man slapped her.

“Dumiretso talaga siya tapos biglang may gumanoon sa akin. Tapos ginanoon ko na siya, ‘What’s your problem? Why are you grabbing my ass?’ Ako nagulat eh kasi [dramatizes slapping incident]—nakakita ako ng stars,” she said.

“Ako ay parang na-shock,” she added.

While she was still trying to make sense of the incident, Capri said that the man kept pointing at her face.

She said club security did not arrest the man. Instead, she said, they escorted him out of the bar.

“Iyong bouncer, hinatid at sinakay pa talaga siya sa kotse niya... Kung ganoon ang services, porket VIP-VIP siya ng ganito?” she said.

The NBI said that they will ask the club management for a copy of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.

“The best way siguro to have the identity is doon sa CCTV. And hopefully, the club will cooperate in the conduct of the investigation. Otherwise, sila pa ang ma-charge ng obstruction of justice,” NBI Anti-Organized and Transnational Crimes Division (AOTCD) chief Attorney Manny Eduarte said.

The suspect may face violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act as well as sexual harassment and physical injury.
