“May sumabog ho na transformer sa LRT 1 depot. Resulta nawalan ng kuryente and mga tren natin doon,” Bulario said in an interview over Super Radyo dzBB.
He added that the train operations are affected because of the limited source of power. But as of posting time, a rectifier is being used as an additional source of power.
Bulario said Meralco personnel are currently repairing the transformer that caught fire.
LRT operations resumed but with a delay, News TV Live reported.
“Dahil dito, tuwing 15 minuto lamang nakakaakyat ang mga tren sa LRT 1 depot imbes na tuwing 3 minuto,” Bulario said.
As of posting time, Bulario said there are 8 trains left that have to be included in the transport system. It will take one hour more before operation will normalize. — BAP/KG, GMA News
