Unidentified man killed by PNR train in Manila

An unidentified man was killed after being hit by a Philippine National Railways train in Manila on Tuesday, GMA 7 news program "24 Oras" reported.

The victim, described as in his 40s and wearing blue shorts and a brown undershirt, was walking on the railroad tracks along Antipolo and Leonor Rivera streets in Sta Cruz, Manila when the accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m.

The remains were brought to Saint Rich Funeral Parlor in Quezon City.

The PNR meanwhile said that they were ready to provide financial assistance to the victim's family, if they wish to avail of it, once the victim is identified.

The local police force also advised the public to be careful when passing through a railroad crossing. — Virgil Lopez/DVM, GMA News
