Passengers crowd Araneta bus terminal hoping to catch bus rides to provinces
The Araneta Center Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City was jam-packed on Saturday morning as commuters tried to get tickets for bus rides to provinces, a report on News TV Live by Jamie Santos said.
The queue for tickets was already long early in the morning, and it even reached the roadside.
Buses arrived late due to traffic and road repairs, the report said. It was the same situation on Friday.

Many of the commuters on Saturday said they were going to the provinces to take advantage of the three-day weekend since Monday, May 9, is a special non-working holiday due to the elections.
Some commuters even brought their small children with them to the terminal.
Other commuters said they were going to their hometowns to cast their ballots on Monday.
Meanwhile, a commotion occurred on Saturday at the terminal after a man was caught allegedly opening the bag of a woman.
The man, however, denied he is a snatcher and claimed there were just too many people around.
He and the woman were brought to the terminal's office for investigation. —KG, GMA News
