LP dominates in five Metro Manila cities

The Liberal Party remained dominant in five cities in the National Capital Region following the results of the partial and unofficial count transmitted by the transparency server.
The LP lead in the top two positions in Quezon City, where incumbent Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice-Mayor Joy Belmonte soundly defeated their rivals.
The party was also out on top in Pasay City, with bets Antonino Calixto and Boyet Del Rosario comfortably ahead in the mayor and vice mayor races.
Unopposed candidate Edwin Olivarez and his running mate Rico Golez also raised the LP's flag in Parañaque City's mayor and vice mayor positions.
Muntinlupa was also an LP stronghold with Jaime Fresnedi and Celso Dioko leading over their rivals.
In Malabon City, LP candidate Lenlen Oreta comfortably lead her opponent Jaye Lacon-Noel of National People's Coalition (NPC). But Oreta's running mate Jap Garcia was behind in the vice mayor race against the Nacionalista Party's Jeannie Sandoval.
Win some, lose some
The party is losing the mayor race in Marikina City with Del De Guzman trailing NPC's Marcy Teodoro by around 4,000 votes. In the vice mayor race, LP's Jose Fabian Cadiz, however, is comfortably ahead of NPC's Doc Marion Andres.
Makati City and Mandaluyong City voted for United Nationalist Alliance candidates. Abigail Binay and Monique Lagdameo are ahead of their LP rivals in the mayor and vice mayor races in Makati.
Mandaluyong, meanwhile, voted UNA's Menchie Abalos and Anthony Suva for mayor and vice mayor.
In Manila, incumbent mayor Joseph Estrada and former mayor Alfredo Lim are locked in a tight race for the top local position. As of press time, Estrada lead by a small margin of 2,000 votes.
The NP lorded over Las Piñas City with Imelda Aguilar and Louie Bustamante leading by a wide margin over their independent rivals.
The Nacionalistas also took Taguig with Lani Cayetano and Richard Cruz Jr. unopposed in the mayor and vice mayor polls.
The NPC won in Valenzuela City with Rex Gatchalian and Lorie Natividad ahead in the mayor and vice mayor races.
In San Juan, independent candidate Guia Gomez won th tight mayor race against NP's Francis Zamora. Janella Ejercito, meanwhile, is won the race with a huge margin.
Oca Malapitan and Maca Asistio lead the mayor and vice mayor race in Caloocan City, while Ike Ponce and Gerald German lead in Pateros.
John Rey Tiangco and Clint Geronimo were unopposed mayor and vice mayor candidates in Navotas.
