Road reblocking in QC scheduled May 27-30

Some roads in Quezon City will undergo road repair and reblocking this weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways said.

The repairs will be done from 10 p.m. of May 27, Friday, to 5 a.m. of May 30, Monday.

The Metro Manila Development Authority advised motorists to plan their trips to avoid the traffic buildup in these areas:

• Commonwealth Avenue southbound fronting Commonwealth Market to West Riverside Overpass (2nd lane from center island);

• Commonwealth Avenue northbound from Ever Gotesco Mall to St. Peter Chapel (2nd lane from center island); and

• Congressional Avenue Extension eastbound from Visayas Ave. to fronting Tierra Pura Subd. (2nd lane from island).

MMDA said alternate routes to Congressional Avenue Extension are: Visayas Avenue, Mindanao Avenue, Tandang Sora Avenue, and Commonwealth Avenue. —KG, GMA News
