Collapsed crane in Makati City cleared after 22 hours 

The collapsed tower crane in Makati City was cleared early Friday morning, nearly 22 hours after the accident took place.

According to DZBB's Sam Nielsen, H.V. Dela Costa Street in Salcedo Village became passable as of 4:35am.

The crane collapsed Thursday morning during the construction of the Salcedo Skyscraper, injuring a taxi driver and a bicycle rider and causing power failure in nearby villages.

Due to its massive weight, the crane needed to be disassembled part by part.

The Makati City Police is investigating the incident.

The injured victims are still confined at the Makati Medical Center, they said.

Meanwhile, affected businesses in the area are planning to file a complaint against A.M. Oreta Construction Company, the contractor of the condominium project.
