2 foreigners nabbed in ecstasy buy-bust in Makati

Police arrested two foreigners caught in the act of selling ecstasy pills in Makati City on Monday night.

Police identified the suspects as Jeremy Eaton, a Canadian and Damien Berg from Australia.

Superintendent Enrigo Rigor of the Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Group said the two foreigners were arrested while in the act of selling P250,000 worth of ecstasy pills to a police poseur-buyer.

Seized from the suspects were 170 high-grade ecstasy pills called the "cookie monster."

Rigor said that the pills, sold at P1,500 each, were smuggled from The Netherlands.

The authorities suspect that the two foreigners are connected with the suspected drug dealers during the deadly Pasay City rave party last May.

The two foreigners are denying the police's allegations.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against the suspects. —ALG, GMA News
