Barangay chairman killed in Quezon City ambush

Motorcycle-riding gunmen killed a barangay official in an ambush in Quezon City, Saturday morning.

Senior Superintendent Alex Alberto of the Quezon City Police District Station 5 (Fairview) identified the slain barangay official as Edris Domato, chairman of Barangay 188 (Tala) in Caloocan City.

Alberto said Domato was on board a Toyota Fortuner along Quirino Highway in Barangay Lagro, when two men riding a motorcycle fired at him.

The barangay chairman died instantly, police said.

Alberto said they are now getting statements from possible witnesses.

He said they are also identifying CCTV cameras installed around the area to check if the shooters were caught on camera. —report from radio dzBB's Rodil Vega/ALG, GMA News
