Bus breaks free of tow-truck, crashes into Litex Market shops


Some five people were injured early Monday morning in Quezon City when a nonfunctional bus broke free of a tow-truck and crashed into some 10 shops of the Litex Market Extension, Super Radyo dzBB's James Agustin reported.

 

 

 

 

The RS Master Bus had broken down and was being towed to Fairview in Quezon City when, according to bus driver Randy Gatan, an unidentified vehicle cut in front of the two-truck while they were on Commonwealth Avenue.

The two-truck had to suddenly avoid a collision, but in the process the bus broke free of the of the tow.

Gatan attempted to get control of the now runaway bus, but he was unable to prevent the vehicle from crashing into the stalls.

The injured have been given treatment, while the Quezon City Police District's Traffic Sector 5 has started its investigation into the crash. — DVM, GMA News
