MMDA: Roads passable after flooding subsides


The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said most thoroughfares around the area are now passable, after flood subsided there on Friday morning.

As of 9 a.m., floods have subsided in the following areas, making all lanes passable:

  • Quezon Ave. - Biak na Bato
  • EDSA Gen. Malvar Monument (northbound)
  • Domestic LTO (southbound)
  • Mendiola Unilever Otis
  • Magallanes/Pasong Tamo Tunnel
  • España/Maceda-Antipolo
  • Finance Road Museum
  • Manila City Hall-Taft
  • Lagusnilad Tunnel Manila
  • UN Perez Manila
  • Pedro Gil Riles

As of 8:20 a.m., the following roads are also passable with minimal flooding:

  • Circulo 7-11 - eastbound (gutter deep, passable to all vehicles);
  • NAIA Road, Casino - eastbound/westbound (gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicles);
  • Taft LRT in front of Philippine General Hospital - eastbound (gutter deep, passable to all vehicles)

Maysilo Circle in Mandaluyong, meanwhile, is not passable to all types of vehicles due to knee-deep flood. — Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/RSJ, GMA News
