Classes in all levels in Parañaque, Las Piñas suspended
Classes in all levels in Parañaque and Las Piñas cities were suspended on Tuesday due to the bad weather.
The Parañaque City government said Mayor Edwin Olivarez suspended the classes in all levels and in both public and private schools based on the recommendation of the Parañaque disaster risk reduction and management office.
A radio dzBB report, meanwhile, said that the Las Piñas City government also suspended classes based on the announcement of its public information chief, Jimmy Castillano.
Heavy rains were experienced in both cities and other parts of Metro Manila due to the enhanced southwest monsoon.
PAGASA said in its daily weather forecast for Tuesday that Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, including Ilocos, CAR and Calabarzon, will experience thunderstorms due to the enhanced southwest monsoon.
The southwest monsoon is being enhanced by a low pressure area spotted 1,200 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan as of 4 a.m. —ALG, GMA News
