5 drug suspects killed in Quezon City buy-bust

Five suspected drug pushers were killed in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, early Monday.

Superintendent Lito Patay, chief of the Batasan police precinct, said the operation was conducted at the San Miguel extension, Payatas area.

Patay said a police asset was buying drugs from the suspects, when they sensed the entrapment operation.

He said the suspects, who have yet to be identified, fired at the approaching policemen.

He said their operatives retaliated and killed the five suspects.

The Quezon City Police District has yet to release additional details of the operation. —ALG, GMA News
