Cops raid Pasig 'drug dens' linked to Boratong's brother
Policemen on Monday raided two three-storey residential buildings in Pasig City that are supposedly being used as venues of drug-related acitivities, a report on "24 Oras" said.
In his report, GMA News' Emil Sumangil said the operator of the two supposed drug dens, a certain Ama, is the brother of Amin Imam Boratong, the convicted drug trafficker and operator of the now demolished "shabu tiangge" also in Pasig City.
"Si Ama ngayon ang hinahanap natin dahil ito ngayon ang may hawak ng operasyon ng Boratong ngayon dito sa Pasig," said Chief Supt. Romeo Sapitula, director of the Eastern Police District.
Armed with a search warrant, the policemen raided the two buildings in Barangay Pinagbuhatan known among residents as "bolante." Authorities had a hard time entering the second building due to its thick metal gate.
One suspect was arrested and shabu were seized during the raid, the report said.
Citing the police, the report said operations of the shabu tiangge were transferred to the two buildings after its demolition by authorities in 2012. —KBK, GMA News
