Philcoa sidewalk cleared despite vendors’ protest
The sidewalk at the Philcoa area in Quezon City has been cleared despite protest from vendors who organized a human barricade there on Friday morning.
A tweet from radio dzBB said the clearing operation was done at past noon.

In the said video, Quezon City second district Councilor Ranulfo Ludovica was shown addressing some vendors in anger through a megaphone.
Vendors belonging to the Metro Manila Vendors Association organized a human barricade at the area, in response to a notice from the Sangguniang Panlungsod, asking them to vacate the area.
MMVA said the Market code guarantees the rights of vendors, including the right to put up temporary vending sites.
They added that they have permits and are paying fees for the use of location.
A GMA News report quoted the vendors as saying that if they are causing traffic, the city government should find another place for them.
