Bomb scare hits Divisoria mall

Tension gripped a famous shopping mall in Divisoria district in Manila on Saturday afternoon.

Superintendent Amante Daro, commander of the Manila Police District's Station 11, said people were prevented from entering the 168 Mall after an abandoned bag was found at the Soler entrance of the shopping center at around 4:30 p.m.

Daro said K9 units and members of the Manila police' explosive and ordnance team were immediately dispatched to check the abandoned bag.

After almost an hour, policemen declared the mall safe.

Daro said the bag was left by a female shopper and it only contained clothes. —report from dzBB's Olan Bola/ALG, GMA News
