Police investigating alleged drug supplier of celebrities, QCPD chief says

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Senior Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar on Tuesday bared they have arrested a couple who allegedly supplied illegal drugs to some celebrities.

In an interview on GMA News' Unang Balita, Eleazar said they arrested the couple on the same day that actress Krista Miller, sexy models Jeramie Padolina and Liaa Alelin Bolla, and their companions were apprehended

Eleazar added Padolina and Bolla receive their drug supply from one cyclist while their three male companions get their supply from the couple.

"May nakuha tayong impormasyon na yung dalawang modelo meron pa silang ibang pinagkukunan na siklista, at yung tatlo may iba namang pinagkukunan na Muslim couple," he said, adding the QCPD is also investigating the possibility the semi-bigtime drug lords supply celebrities.

"Itong nakuha nating couple na Muslim, marami siyang pinagsu-supplyan, medyo bigtime ito ng konti kasi medyo malakihan yung nakukuha sa kanya. Since these arrested companions ng dalawang modelo doon kumukuha, pinag-aaralan natin yun dahil malaking posibildiad na dito rin nanggagaling yung iligal na droga na supplier ng ilang celebrities," Eleazar said.

Asked whether Miller and the two models identified any of their clients in the showbiz industry, Eleazar replied: "May mga relevant information tayong nakuha sa kanila base sa pagtatanong natin sa kanila and we are checking this with our records and we will validate this information."

The QCPD chief added they are also validating information the couple has a bigger drug supplier.

Drug watchlist getting longer

Meanwhile, Eleazar said their list of drug personalities in the city keeps getting longer since July due to tips from open sources and police officers.

"Mula nitong July, itong listahan na ito ay pahaba na ng pahaba kasi the information is coming from open sources, marami galing sa kasamahan natin... what we have to do is validate this," he said.

But Eleazar cautioned not all people listed on the watchlist are submitted for investigation since the QCPD implements an evidence-based approach.

"Sa amin, this is evidence-based, hindi naman nagbabase sa listahan e. Kahit wala ka sa listahan pero kung may ebidensya ka, magka-conduct tayo ng police operation. Kahit nasa listahan ka, kung wala naming ebidensya, we can do nothing," Eleazar said. — Joseph Tristan Roxas/RSJ, GMA News
