How to find your loved ones in Manila North, South cemeteries

With the help of technology, searching for the tombs of departed loved ones at the Manila North and South cemeteries during the Catholic commemoration of All Saints Day and All Souls Day will just be a breeze.

One only has to log on to the Manila North and Manila South cemeteries’ websites, where both contain a map of the cemetery, and a list of records of the deceased buried there.

To access the grave locator, just type in the name of the deceased and it will point you to the location of the tomb.

Both websites also offer live feed of the areas covered by both cemeteries' closed-circuit television systems.

Daniel Tan, director of the Manila North and South cemeteries, has said the live streaming from October 29 to November 2 will show real-time footage in the main gates of the two cemeteries.

There are 16 CCTV units at the South Cemetery and 32 at the North.

Tan said they expect up to two million people to visit the North cemetery and 500,000 in the South.
