Manila police release traffic advisory for Bar exams this November
The Manila Police District (MPD) released a traffic advisory reminding motorists of road closures and re-routing of vehicles during the 2016 Bar Examinations at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) this month.
According to Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU), the westbound lane of España Boulevard from A. H. Lacson Avenue to P. Noval Street will be closed to traffic from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on all Sundays of November.
The said lane will also be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on November 27.
The stretch of Dapitan Street from A. H. Lacson Avenue to P. Noval Street will also be closed to traffic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on all Sundays of November.
MDTEU also advised of the following re-routing of vehicles: All vehicles that will use Dapitan Street going to Quiapo should go straight to A. H. Lacson Avenue and turn right to Espana Boulevard to point of destination.
For motorists that will use the stretch of Dapitan Street going to Quiapo, they should turn right to A. H. Lacson Avenue, left to Aragon Street straight to A. Mendoza Avenue, to point of destination.
Those who will be coming from Nagtahan intending to use Dapitan Street via A. H. Lacson Avenue should turn left to Aragon Street straight to A. Mendoza Avenue to point of destination.
The MDTEU also noted that during the scheduled closure of westbound lane of España Boulevard, the eastbound lane will be used as two-way for both westbound and eastbound vehicles.
Moreover, parking within the vicinity of UST, including the España Boulevard, A. H. Lacson Avenue, Dapitan Street and P. Noval Street will be strictly prohibited, the MDTEU said. — Erwin Colcol/VVP, GMA News
