Some provincial buses already fully booked four days before Christmas

Four days before Christmas, tickets at provincial bus terminals have begun selling out, GMA News’ Mav Gonzales said in an Unang Balita report on Wednesday.

At the Araneta Center Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City, passengers have started to camp out for a chance to secure a ticket to their home provinces, the report said.

Moreover, trips to Masbate, Sorsogon and Samar are fully-booked until December 29.

In some of the booths in the terminal, a signage is posted saying there are no more vacant seats in buses from December 16 to 30.

Meanwhile, passengers are advised to come to the terminal early to catch extra buses.

Bus companies dispatch more or less three extra buses every day to accommodate all passengers.

These buses, however, are on a first come, first served basis so passengers are still advised to come to terminals ahead of time. —KG, GMA News
